Acceptable Use Policy
This policy applies to everyone using MF Automations services. It exists because the Services can place calls and send messages at scale, and that capability attracts exactly the wrong kind of user. Violating it is grounds for immediate suspension.
1. Prohibited generally
- Violating any law, regulation, or third-party right.
- Transmitting malware, or attempting to gain unauthorized access to any system, account, or network.
- Probing, scanning, or load-testing our infrastructure without written permission.
- Interfering with or disrupting the Services or other customers' use of them.
- Reselling, sublicensing, or white-labeling the Services without our written authorization.
- Reverse engineering the Services, or using them to build a competing product.
- Circumventing usage limits, rate limits, or billing.
2. Prohibited on calls and messages
Because the Services originate voice and text traffic, the following are specifically prohibited:
- Contacting anyone without the consent their law requires, including autodialed or artificial-voice calls and marketing texts that lack prior express written consent.
- Calling or texting a number on the National Do Not Call Registry, an internal do-not-call list, or a number that has revoked consent, outside a recognized exemption.
- Calling outside permitted hours under federal or state telemarketing rules.
- Spoofing or misrepresenting caller identity, or transmitting misleading caller ID information.
- Configuring an AI Operator to deny being automated, or to impersonate a specific real person.
- Recording a call without the consent required by the strictest applicable state law. See Call Recording & AI Voice Disclosure.
- Sending messages in carrier-prohibited categories. See Messaging Terms, section 6.
- Using purchased, rented, scraped, or otherwise non-consented contact lists.
- Snowshoeing — spreading traffic across numbers or accounts to evade filtering, or rotating numbers after a block.
3. Prohibited content and conduct
- Fraud, phishing, social engineering, or impersonation of a business or government agency.
- Harassment, threats, stalking, or content promoting violence or self-harm.
- Illegal discrimination, including automating decisions about housing, employment, credit, or insurance in a way that violates fair-treatment law.
- Sexual content, and any content involving minors.
- Unauthorized collection of personal information about third parties, including surveillance of individuals who have not consented.
- Deceptive AI-generated content, including synthetic voice or media used to mislead.
4. Prohibited deployments
Do not deploy an AI Operator as, or as part of: an emergency or safety-of-life service; a substitute for licensed professional advice presented as such; or a system handling payment card numbers, protected health information without a Business Associate Agreement, or other regulated data without a written agreement covering it.
5. Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations and may suspend or terminate access, disable a number, or refuse traffic, with or without notice depending on severity. We will report unlawful activity to carriers, regulators, or law enforcement where required or appropriate. Suspension for a violation does not entitle you to a refund.
6. Reporting abuse
Report abuse to [email protected]. Include the number involved, timestamps, and message or call content where you have it.
